From the deplorable one herself, the same political hack who has all the sincerity of a hyena and venality of a rattlesnake, comes the pronouncement that Americans are dupes susceptible to propaganda and ripe for manipulation.
How else, asked Hillary Clinton, could you explain President Joe Biden’s plummeting poll numbers?
Clinton griped to fellow-leftist and MSNBC warbler Rachel Maddow that the evil Republicans have been so successful “exploiting” social media, they’ve convinced the public that Biden is doing a horrible job.
And without the necessary “gatekeepers” and “people with a historic perspective” to tell them differently, the general public is just too dumb to understand what they’re really seeing, reported Fox News.
“You know, democracy is messy,” Clinton said. “You know, a lot of people got, oh I think, kind of frustrated looking at the messy process of legislation.
“And they didn’t really appreciate that, within a year, the Biden administration has passed two major pieces of legislation through both the House and the Senate,” she crowed, apparently bragging about a bloated coronavirus relief bill and titanically expensive infrastructure bill.
Clinton was equally effusive about the leftist social spending spree of nearly $2 trillion that passed the House but is likely doomed in the Senate.
“By any measure those are extraordinary accomplishments,” Clinton said, the problem being the deplorable public doesn’t get it.
“But because of the way we are getting our information today, and because of the lack of gatekeepers and people who have a historic perspective who can help us understand what we are seeing,” she said, “there is a real vulnerability in the electorate to the kind of demagoguery and disinformation that, unfortunately, the other side is really good at exploiting.”
And when it comes to disinformation, Clinton knows best, hatching the now-discredited Steele dossier and for years pushing a bogus Russia collusion hoax.
Clinton’s gaslighting sentiments, of course, are squarely in line with the Democrat promotions-arm of mainstream leftist media, which is trying its best to convince Americans that the pain they’re feeling at the pump, the inflated prices they’re paying at grocery stores, the concern they have over high crime rates and critical race theory swamping schools, is not really what they think it is.
“CBS Mornings dove into what they saw as one of the mysteries of this current political era,” reported News Busters. “Why won’t voters be more supportive of President Biden and his fellow Democrats, seeing as how they do so much to make our lives better?”
And the crew at The View fell similarly into lockstep, starting the show by rejoicing over how great things are in Joe Biden’s America, while providing alibis for his dismal performance and scolding everyone for failing to show the proper thanks and appreciation for his myriad accomplishments.
Whoopi Goldberg even coerced Joy Behar to deliver a rundown of Biden’s wonderfulness, in case the general public is too slow on the uptake to keep track.
It’s almost like Clinton and leftist mainstream media are all on the same page, convinced Americans are a bunch of dupes and dopes, and acting accordingly.
